"The power of art is considerable. But it is not enough on its own. We must act. And act now."
THE FIRST GALLERY WITH A MISSION IN FRANCE
In the context of a major environmental challenge, rising social inequalities and discrimination, The Caring Gallery marks the launch of a new model in the art market, at the crossroads of art and care, and wants to go further than traditional patronage and philanthropy actions.
By choosing the status of company with a mission allowed by the 2019 Pact Law, The Caring Gallery was able to integrate into its statutes a social and environmental purpose that exceeds its profit-making goal, a raison d'être: "to make art a lever for mobilization and action in the service of a more sustainable and just world."
Beyond the themes of its exhibitions, The Caring Gallery proposes to NGOs and charities to fully integrate its economic model, by associating them with its turnover up to 10%. It is thus a new tripartite economic model Artist/NGO/Gallery and not only a binomial Artist/Gallery.
