Odonchimeg Davaadorj was born in 1990 in Mongolia. Forced into exile at the age of 17, she became a student and au pair in Paris, where she discovered by chance the practice of art in associative workshops. She was admitted to the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Paris-Cergy from which she graduated with honors in 2016.
Odonchimeg Davaadorj uses drawing, video, performance and textiles to evoke subjects that are both intimate and universal. The body, nature, the feminine, nomadism and the collective are all themes that build a dreamlike and sensitive universe, very recognizable without being narrative.
Her work has been exhibited at the Salon de Montrouge and 6B in 2018, at the Centre d'art contemporain de Meymac, at the Fondation Hermès la Verrière (Brussels) in 2019, at the Centre d'art Transpalette in Bourges and in several group shows with galleries in France and abroad (Beirut, Ulaanbaatar, Brussels, San Francisco). She is represented by Backslash in Paris.
