THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :

In the manner of a documentary filmmaker, the artist Camille Grosperrin tries to capture, as objectively as possible, the animal figure. But this attempt only confirms our impossible neutrality. Each action carries a subjective dimension and the human being, as invested as he may be, will remain a stranger to the wild world. Thus, the artist's a priori realistic axis tilts irremediably into the world of the fable and the marvelous.

Ghost is a photographic series of animal sculptures in wax, made by the artist, without tools and on a very small scale (a few centimeters). She captures them just before they are cast in bronze (and thus just before they disappear), thus recording the trace of their presence, and also making, indirectly, the inventory of a world of the living on the breach. The animals stand in front of the lens, fragile and clumsy spectres, yet charged with great strength and a strange tranquility.

The Caring Gallery is committed to donating 10% of the sale of this work to the partner association of the exhibition.
