THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :

Observe, Imagine, Anticipate.

Born in 1990, the French artist Camille Reidt puts her know-how as a designer at the service of the elaboration of fictions within which the living takes a new place. Freely crossing her sources of inspiration (sciences, myths, history...), her practices (traditional techniques, new technologies...) and her partners (entrepreneurs, biologists, artists...), the artist questions our relationship to biodiversity.
Using 3D scans of seeds, the artist shows the beauty of the microworld in his Strange Seeds, explores its mutations in his Hybrids and projects us into the fictional future of a mineralized seed with his Xenomorphs. On the border between utopia and dystopia, the fictional work Plante d'urgence borrows from medical language to imagine the creation of a vegetalized light bulb that has become a survival kit against the emission of toxic gases. Fiction thus feeds our capacity for anticipation and projection.

The Caring Gallery is committed to donating 10% of the sale of this work to the partner association of the exhibition.
