THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :

REINVENTING OUR MYTHS
Behind the question of our waste management, lies the question of our vision of the world. What do we wish to dream from now on? Ideas are the compasses of our actions and stories count as much as actions. This is the fundamental function of collective myths: to convey the values that allow us to live together.
In his project Divinities, the Tunisian artist Sim Marek reuses electronic and plastic waste to transform them into masks and costumes. Referring to the language of divine representations, the artist imagines a new mythology in which the waste has become king. But far from being defeatist, he takes an inspiring look at the situation by making our capacities for innovation, creation and revaluation a path to transcendence.

The Caring Gallery is committed to donating 10% of the sale of this work to ASF, the partner association of the exhibition.
