Afia Rezk was born in 1980. She arrived in France with her family in May 2018.

Since her childhood, influenced by Syrian crafts, she has used organic elements, living materials in constant mutation under the effect of oxidation, reduction and biodegradation.
Her plastic research combines painting, collages, prints, ceramics, weaving and installations.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Syria, Lebanon, France, Sweden and Germany, including her exhibition L'âme des ruines, Atelier Dar, Pontoise, France in 2020 (Les restes de la maison) in Lulea, Sweden in 2019 (The Light), at the Dar Al Mussauir Gallery, Beirut, Lebanon in 2018. 

She is currently in artistic residency at the Ecole Supérieure d'Art de Clermont-Ferrand.

After having carried out a project at the Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Décoratif de Paris for the first semester with the 4th year in the department of printed images in 2021-2022.
She also had an artistic residency at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Annecy in 2020.
She is an art workshop leader in France since 2019 in colleges, high schools, leisure centres and art schools. She has set up many workshops in Syria using art and theatre as interactive practices to help families in emergency situations, near children and alongside women victims of war. She's been running art workshops in Syria since 2005 in the Art Centres.
