NILS-UDO, an artist born in Bavaria in 1937, initially a painter who studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris in the early 1960s, he took up photography, forestry and forestry and botany in order to work directly to work directly in and with nature.

He is famous for being the pioneer of the movement of Art in and with Nature, or Land Art, from the late 1960s, NILS-UDO reveals the poetry of nature by mixing ephemeral installation and photography. 

His unique images of recomposed nature are a reference today, while his large oil paintings are exhibited museums around the world. The artist lives and works in Germany, he is represented in Paris by the Pierre-Alain Challier Gallery.
