In 1998, Florent Lamouroux entered the ENSA of Bourges from which he graduated in 2004 with honors. Against the trend at the time, he decided to live in a rural environment, in order to benefit from space and a certain economy of life.
He created his workshop in 2007 in Huismes, near Chinon (37) and developed local projects in connection with his town. He became an active member of the association Maison Max Ernst in Huismes. In 2008, he founded the ZAN-gallery, a curatorial device around the notion of context that he reactivates punctually.
In 2013, he had his first solo exhibition in Paris, in the Isabelle Gounod Gallery, with whom he continues to work today. with which he continues to work today.
The artist is also fond of unusual places or not dedicated to visual arts in which he in which he intervenes in a specific and surprising way.
He received the Louise Dehem Painting Prize, awarded in 2014 by the Belgian Academy of Arts, for his Belgium, for his series of sculptures Toile- Bleu d'ouvrier.
At the same time, he has had solo and group exhibitions as well as residencies in France and abroad abroad (Romania, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Canada).
His works are presented in art centers and other institutional places (Centre Pompidou, MAC Lyon, CNEAI, Artothèque de Caen, Université de Tours).
He also collaborates with companies and private art places (residence in the company of Plastivaloire/ Itinerant installation The 4th way in partnership with Vinci Autoroutes/ Personal exhibition The impermanence of the Personal exhibition L'impermanence de nos horizons, at the Matmut Art Center. )
At present, Florent Lamouroux is extending his artistic commitment in line with his concerns: In 2021 he joined the board of directors of Devenir Art, an association in which he contributes to creating the necessary tools to improve the status of the artist in his region.
In a spirit of transmission and sharing, the artist teaches plastic arts in colleges and high schools of Indre-et-Loire high schools in Indre-et-Loire as well as "Noble art" at the Ring Rabelais Chinon.
