THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :

THE BEAUTY OF RESISTANCE
The work on display by Fatimah Hossaini, an NFT version of which was specially designed for the exhibition, is part of the Pearl in the Oyster series. It honors the beauty of these resistant women. Rubab in hand, the woman whose photo we are exhibiting wears a traditional jewel on a contemporary outfit. Her straight and spirited look stands up to all those who strive to destroy her identity and erase her from society. The exemplary mobilization of these women reminds us of the urgency to protect the fundamental rights of all human beings.
With the arrival of the Taliban in power, Fatimah Hossaini had to leave Afghanistan and take refuge in France in August 2021. Since then, she has been fighting to re-establish a fair view of Afghan women.

The Caring Gallery is committed to donating 10% of the sale of this work to the partner association of the exhibition.
